Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

When you open the site, the server automatically stores technical data sent by your browser: IP address, date and time, page requested, amount of data transferred, the previously visited page (referrer), and browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the site and protect it against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). IONOS deletes or anonymises the log files after a short time.

No cookies, no tracking, local fonts

No cookies are set and no usage profiles are created. The fonts (Barlow, Barlow Condensed, JetBrains Mono) are served from this server; there is no connection to Google or other providers.

Contact by email or contact form

If you write to me – by email or via the form on the legal notice page – I process your email address, your name (if given) and the content of your message in order to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The message is deleted once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. The form stores nothing on the server; it only sends your details to me by email.

The Loopload app

Loopload runs entirely on your Mac. Your recorded workflows, credentials and downloaded files stay there; the app stores passwords and two-factor keys in the macOS keychain. We receive no data from the app: no usage statistics, no identifier of your Mac, no content.

The app only makes these connections – all of them direct, never via us or any other service:

Recorded websites: when a thread runs, the website loads its content as in a browser, possibly including third parties and cookies embedded there; the website operator is responsible for this. Cookies and website data stay on your Mac, kept separate for each thread.
Site icons: the app fetches a thread’s icon (favicon) directly from the domain of the recorded website, or for mail threads from the sender’s domain.
Mail app: with your permission in macOS, Loopload reads the sender, subject and text of new messages in your inbox locally, only to find confirmation codes or matching invoice emails. None of this leaves your Mac.
Your own mailbox (optional): IMAP retrieval and notifications only go through the mailbox you enter, to your own address. Your email provider is responsible for that connection.
Provider detection (optional): only when you click “Detect” does your Mac look up via DNS which mail server belongs to the domain of your email address.

Crash reports: the app has none of its own. Only if you allow macOS to share crash reports with app developers does Apple pass them on, without reference to you personally.

Loopload is not yet available. Before launch we will add how purchasing works and what data it involves.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Just write to the email address above.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, or the authority in your country.
